Now here's a surprise release for you all! We worked on this one in secrecy for quite a while 😋


For those who may not know, Armor Hero XT is pretty definitively the most popular, and most critically acclaimed, entry of the Armor Hero franchise; arguably it is the most popular Chinese Domestic Tokusatsu to this day. The show follows the day to day lives of a group of Armor Summoners trying to fight back against an extraterrestrial threat. Can they defeat their enemies and solve the mysteries intertwined with their lives?


This is in my personal opinion, a really fantastic tokusatsu, and a great first step into Chinese Tokusatsu for any newcomers. This series features some nods to previous series, but can be watched entirely stand alone! I promise starting here is as good a place to start as any :)


Originally releasing from 2011 to 2012, this show previously did receive an official dub, but it is famously inaccurate and full of frankly baffling decision. (Though it still has its own charm, and as such we have included it as an alternate audio track here ^^)


This is a brand new, from scratch, human translation, that is far more accurate than the dub ever was.
Let me repeat, THESE ARE NOT DUBTITLES! 😤 


Our goal for this series is to release episodes in 6 episode batches, as it breaks down well: both seasons will take five batches each, and the whole show will take ten batches.


We basically intend to slowly but surely do the entire series. I can, as of now, guarantee there will at the very least be more than just this one episode in the long-run. In fact I'll tell you right now that we have even more episodes than this translated! 👀
However, the next batch has not entered the typesetting and editing phase yet, so don't expect it too soon 😅


A quick note is that this particular series features multiple names for all of the Armors, so we've included two different tracks so you can select which ones you'd like to have. The "English" name track also removes honourifics to give a more localized feel, while the "Chinese" name tracks keeps many honourifics in tact to provide a more authentic feel.
Pick whichever you prefer, you'll be getting the same story either way.


Before Batch 2 comes out we will be putting out at least one Non-XT release too!
